Make it Colourful - speed colouring

Hey there everyone ... how did you like our last challenge over at Make it colourful.....?
Well we have another challenge for you this month and that is....

Speed colouring...!

Wow I did struggle with this one ... but it is totally do-able.... Zoe does like to challenge her DT girls as well as everyone else...lol. :)
I knew I wouldn't be able to colour quick enough with markers or ball point pens, so I opted for pastel pencils and a paper stump...

Here is what I did
I used kraft coloured card stock to print onto and Koh-i-noor pastel pencils and a paper stump.
I did use up all of the 15 mins, it could do with some more detail on it but not bad for the time allowance...

I hope you are going to join in the challenge again , you guys rocked the last one.
Thank you for stopping by

Cafe Paris.....Sil vous plait

Hi guys... how are you..?  fancy a cafe au lait in Paris.....

today again I havehad a go at something different... I used the Paris Sidewalk cafe scene from Make it Crafty , and used just back ink and a calligraphy drawing nib to colour with.

I know it's not brilliant, but for my first attempt I think it's okay, with a bit more  practise I could get used to this technique...I just need to learn to control the water flow more and  how creating different shades with just one colour.....I love to play with different media...♥

hope you have been able to join in with the current challenge over on Make it Colourful.... Here

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a peek
See you again very soon

Make it Crafty - two tone Monochromatic challenge

Hi guys how are you....Today we have a new challenge over at Make it Colourful for you...This one is another one a little bit different...

TWO TONE MONOCHROMATIC & ABSTRACT BACKGROUND INSPIRATION

This challenge was inspired by the amazing works of Jason Siew. When I saw this image below I just knew we had to try it! It has been a fun challenge and the team although shaking in their booties did a fabulous job experimenting with this idea.
Essentially it is just like colouring a monochrome image but I want you to choose ‘TWO’ colours and blend them towards one another.
Remember to use a Make it Crafty image and upload your projects to the MiC store gallery
Here is the inspirational image the design team used..

Make It Colourful.... New Challenge

Hi guys.... wow it's ages since I have posted anything on here.... I have been busy colouring but not with things I can share yet...but today I can share with you the new

Make It Colourful challenge
We would like you to either :-

Easy Challenge – Different Skin Combinations
This month we want you to try experimenting with different skin colours. Throw away those go to colours and try something new! You might even try colouring a dragon…  Teehee
Make sure you tell us what colours you have used on your blog page

or

Hard Challenge – Alter An Image Through Colouring Only

Now it’s time to put your colouring skills to the test. We want you to try it even if you think you’re no good. This is what helps you expand your skills and takes you to places you didn’t think was possible.
We want you to try your hand at colouring something with extra features what we like to call ‘creative colouring’.
You colour draw a face on a character, or even flowers buds… Lol. You could add scars, horns, hats and more. Add some new feature that isn’t in the original line drawing but you can only do it with your colouring medium. No altering of the lines

I have used Baby Dragon

I gave him some scales....
I have used polychromos pencils on canvas,  I like the idea of the texture but I think I can have another go and do him much better...

Shrunken Alice

I also had a go 'Zombifying' Alice

this is a mix of copics and prisma pencils...

challenge - alice - kay

Don't forget to check out the weekly specials over on the Make It Crafty blog

I hope you can join in the challenge... it's not scary at all you can do it if you try....

Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting me
Take care I will be back shortly
